Online Safety Training Academy
The Office of the Chancellor’s Fire/EMS/Safety Center would like to take the opportunity to introduce a new way of conducting safety training. This will be achieved through an Online Safety Academy format which is a better way of scheduling, presenting and ensuring regulatory compliance for required safety training. Essentially, The Office of the Chancellor’s Fire/EMS/Safety Center will manage an online training compliance program. Access to the program will be done from each individual campus.
Authority and Responsibility:
The Office of the Chancellor’s Fire/EMS/Safety Center is responsible for:
- Providing safety training classes in an online format available 24/7.
- Maintaining the necessary system license.
- Providing easy online registration.
- Providing campuses access to follow-up summaries of employees attending each training class.
Campuses are responsible for:
- Ensuring that employees receive required training for their group, including new employees;
- Ensuring employees attend classes annually for those classes with annual refresher requirements; and
- Registering employees on-line for scheduled classes.
